EUC Engineering has commenced work on a job to assist an engineering design company with establishment of the safety requirements for an extending work platform allowing access to the head chute of a conveyor feeding the bin.  The work is driven by compliance to AS/NZS 4024.1 and AS 62061 for machinery functional safety.  The work included hazard and risk assessment, SIL determination and Safety Requirement Specification (SRS) preparation.

EUC Engineering has been awarded work by a major iron ore producer to update earlier work it did in evaluating quantitative risk models of the risks of ship grounding on departure from a Pilbara port in various tug escorting scenarios.  Contact Mike Dean on +61 (0)448 103 028 for more information on this project.

EUC Engineering worked with an engineering designer in reviewing the safety in design aspects of a mooring line retrieval and reaving system for a Pilbara port and iron ore wharf.  The work involved hazard identification, risk assessment and risk reduction concepts to achieve an improved design outcome.  Contact Mike Dean on +61 (0)448 103 028 for more information on this project or if you would like to know more about Safety In Design.

EUC Engineering has been given the job of completing a Functional Safety compliance review for a Car Dumper Remote Isolation System.
