EUC Engineering has been awarded the work of facilitating and reporting upon a Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) study for various modifications at the clients Multi Fuel Cogeneration Plant, which generates electricity and steam for the process plant.  The HAZOP will be aligned with the requirements of AS 61882-2003 (the Australian Standard for HAZOP studies).  The modifications relate to the Condensate Treatment Plant and Ash Handling systems.  The one day workshop will be conducted at the clients site.  EUC Engineering has dedicated HAZOP logging software (PHA Pro) for the quick and efficient recording of HAZOPs and generation of reports quickly and cost effectively.  Contact Mike Dean on +61 (0)448 103 028 for more information on this project or if you would like to know more about HAZOPs.

EUC Engineering has been awarded the work to provide an assessment of whether a part of a Perth based manufacturing facility constitutes a confined space.  The relevant legislation is the WA OSH Regulations (1996) regulation 3.82 and also Australian Standard AS 2865-2009.  The assessment will consider the definitions in these documents (which differ) and provide an evaluation of whether the space constitutes a confined space or not.  For more information about this project call Mike Dean on +61 (0)448 103 028.

EUC Engineering has been awarded the work of the facilitation of a Safety In Design review process (including a HAZOP) for a project to upgrade a number of conveyor gravity take up systems at a Pilbara iron ore port.  The work aligns to a Safety In Design process developed by the engineering design company.  For more information about this project call Mike Dean on +61 (0)448 103 028.
